“You don't have the game you played last year or last week. You only have today's game. It may be far from your best, but that's all you've got. Harden your heart and make the best of it.”

Snake season is HERE!!!

Our Local Snakes

Dugite
( Pseudonaja affinis)

Tiger (Notechis scutatus)

That time of year is here again and as the weather warms up our resident snakes will again appear. Members need only to be cautious when walking around the golf club and remember that snakes don’t just reside in bushland areas. At this time of year they are out and about feeding, drinking and warming in the sun and can be found around buildings, service areas and obviously on the course. Members are reminded that these snakes are protected species and are not to be chased down and killed.

First Aid for Snake Bites:

Do NOT wash the area of the bite!
It is extremely important to retain traces of venom for use with venom identification kits!
Stop the poisons spread - bandage firmly, splint and immobilise!
